Dispose of balloons responsibly
Latex balloons should be sorted into energy waste or mixed waste. Foil balloons, on the other hand, belong in mixed waste, unless you plan to reuse them.
Foil balloons bring joy for a long time
A foil balloon can always be deflated with a straw and refilled if desired. The foil balloon's valve closes automatically after inflation.
Balloon Floating Time
Balloons are at their best on the day they are filled. Balloons can mainly be filled with either air or helium. Please read the balloon's product description to check if a foil balloon is not intended to be filled with helium.
Foil balloons filled with helium will float for 3–5 days when in good condition. If stored correctly, foil balloons may remain in good condition for several weeks.
Latex balloons filled with helium will float for about 5–6 hours. Latex balloons can be treated with a long-lasting treatment for a longer floating time. When treated correctly, they can float for up to 2–3 days.
Latex and foil balloons filled with air last from days to weeks, with foil balloons lasting longer than latex balloons.
Do not release the balloon into the wild
Balloons are meant to decorate your party, not nature, so please be careful not to let the balloon fly freely into nature. Helium-filled balloons can be weighted to keep them on the ground.
React to temperature changes
Place the helium-filled balloon with care. In the cold, a foil balloon will look deflated because the helium contracts. When it returns to a warm environment, the balloon will return to normal. In warm conditions, helium expands, so do not, for example, put the balloon in a car, as it may burst. We recommend filling and storing at room temperature.
Safe use for all party-goers
Please do not leave balloons unsupervised with small children or animals. Broken balloons can cause a choking hazard. Latex balloons are not for children under 8 years old, and foil balloons are not for children under three years old. We always recommend using balloons under adult supervision.
Note allergies
Our rubber balloons are made of natural rubber, i.e., latex. This may cause an allergic reaction in some people. We recommend using a balloon pump when inflating rubber balloons.
How to recycle your Party Box contents
Most of our products are disposable but recyclable.
However, it is always important to note that sorting instructions vary by region, so it is important to check the exact and up-to-date instructions with your local waste management company.
It is also worth noting that recycling labels on packages usually refer to the packaging itself, not the product!
Here are tips on how to sort or reuse the contents of the box responsibly!
Packaging and Labels
Party box is corrugated board → cardboard collection
Cardboard packaging and cardboard labels → cardboard collection
- PAP 21 label means cardboard packaging
- TIP! You can reuse the packaging to store reusable items, for children's games, or even as a memory time capsule at baby showers
Paper labels on packaging → paper collection
- PAP 22 label means paper packaging
So, check the back of the label to see if it's PAP 21 (cardboard) or PAP 22 (paper).
Plastic parts and protectors of packaging → plastic collection
- PP 5 means plastic and is recycled in plastic recycling
Serving supplies
Paper plates, straws and cups → mixed waste
- When plates, straws and cups are dirty, they always belong in mixed waste, even if the material would otherwise be recyclable.
- Also, coated paper products (patterned/glossy surface) belong in mixed waste.
Napkins → biowaste
- If paper has been used for cooking, drying hands or other organic uses, it can be sorted into biowaste.
Wooden cutlery and wooden parts of cake candles → mixed waste. You can also rinse and reuse them.
Serving dishes → mixed waste. You can also reuse the dishes if they are relatively clean.
Decorations
Party curtains are plastic → to plastic collection, if clean, also easy to reuse for parties, crafts, other decorations
Latex balloons → to mixed waste
- natural rubber does not belong in biowaste
Foil balloons → to mixed waste. A foil balloon is easy to deflate and re-inflate
Party banners → to mixed waste. Easy to reuse.
